Campus Vortex is ‘Craigslist’ for University students. Started by Eli Alford-Jones, a junior at the University of Oregon, the system aims to connect like-minded college students who want to buy and sell cars, skis, stereos etc. It also allows them to trade services within their local area.
We designed the site, the logo and built a completely custom classified system based on the Code Igniter framework. It allows users to quickly and easily post their items as well as contacting other posters. There is a robust admin backend through which Eli is able to moderate posts and oversee activity. Adding a new school is very simple as the database is self-replicating.
